Score Styrene Sheet For O Scale

In the conversation for a couple of years and prompted at the April 2026 TCA York Train Meet, Todd Architectural Models has been in conversation with Evergreen Scale Models for a custom run of 1" square scored sidewalk sheet material. We are very excited about this new product for the model train hobbyist and expect samples to arrive during the week of May 18, 2026,

Details about the custom run

  • Each sheet will measure 12" x 24"

  • There will be two thicknesses: .040" and .060"

  • The scoring pattern will be 1" x 1" or 4' x 4' in O Scale.

The .040" thickness is being run as a solution to the paper sidewalks on Menards building models that have a tendency to peal up and buckle. This thinner material will add realism to the sidewalk in front of the building without building up too much thickness.

The .060" thickness is being run for use in creating sidewalks for streetscape modeling. Although a little undersized for realistic curb height, the .060" thickness will be easy to work with using the "snap on a score line" method of creating strips from the sheet. It will also be relatively easy to score and snap at a desired width or shape.

The price point will be comparable to other Evergreen Scale Models scored styrene sheet product. There will be a slight upcharge for the .060" thick material. email us at toddmodel@mac.com to express interest in this exciting new release!

The new scored styrene sheet sounds like a practical solution for modelers tired of flimsy paper sidewalks. Looking forward to trying it out! ai detector music
